Hi, there! Thanks for checking out my page. My name is Amy Jordan, and I’m so glad you’re here. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m a mother of two fabulous kids, Andrew and Allison, and married to a great guy named Michael (and if you didn’t catch that, yes, his name is Michael Jordan – we get the “you look a bit different” jokes all the time). I was a 4th grade teacher for 8 years, and then became a stay at home mom when my son was born in 2006.
Since I’ve taken on the role of stay-at-home mom, I’ve been an online instructor for a graduate class for teachers, and now I’ve become Beachbody coach. Don’t know what that is? I help you find a workout program that will fit your needs, invite you try Shakeology, which is my secret weapon when it comes to nutrition, and then support you on your fitness journey in one of my private accountability groups on Facebook. You’ll have everything you need to get results. It’s not as much fun to do this on your own, so let’s do it together!
I decided to become a coach because of the freedom I felt after changing my body. My 3-part entry titled “My Journey from Self-Critical to Self-Confident” shares the story behind my transformation and my decision to become a coach. This was a very emotional journey, but it was important for me to write about it. I know a lot of people can connect to how I felt, and I want them to know there is a way out.
Before I go on, you must know that I do not take credit for that journey or my new path in life. My entries will describe that for you. I am very committed to sharing how God has affected my life – He’s helped change my body image, my feeling of self-worth, helped me realize that I have a place in this world, and that I CAN make a difference. Yes, I know that writing about God will turn some people off, and I just have to be OK with that. My relationship with Him is so important to me and has drastically transformed me, so I can’t keep it quiet. If I can inspire anyone to start a relationship with Him, then it’s all worth it. Because He can fill you with love, joy, and peace like nothing else.
Most of my posts will be about family, fitness, being real, and my faith. I hope they’ll make you laugh, cry, and feel inspired. If you enjoy them, I would love it if you’d follow me and share my posts with anyone that comes to mind.
Thanks for being here.
